                 RACING LEAGUE

Our racing league is an ideal way to start teaching children how to drive. They learn how to take corners, brake, when they're driving too fast, how to handle slippery conditions and much more all in a safe environment.

Even experienced drivers can learn a thing or two...would you know what to do if your car hit ice and started sliding?? Very few of us have ever actually slid in a car until its crunch time- a few goes on our karts and you will be much better equipped to handle wet and icy conditions.

We are currently developing a driver-trainer program in association with the racing league. Racing school instructors lead students between classroom lessons and hands-on driving instruction. Racers can learn to apply what they have learned in the classroom to the track immediately, creating an ideal learning environment.

Whether you're looking to have an unforgettably good time, shave the last tenth off your lap time or build camaraderie in no time, we offer a course for you.

Racing League cost $15 per week for 6 weeks from 1:00- 2:00.  Classroom is followed by racing heats. Practice racing passes are available after the league race at a discounted price of $3:00. Ages 9-14yr and  54 inches tall.

Week 1    Students  are introduced to the basics of karting competition. The group learns the basics of karting rules and the meaning of racing flags. Racing students are then brought to the track and get behind the wheel. Staying at a slow, constant speed, the group becomes familiar with the race, and learns proper line of driving.

Week 2    Instructors teach the group to become comfortable with braking. Each student practices to control the race while braking during turns. After braking instruction, racing students are brought up to a slightly higher speed, and begin to practice passing on straight-aways.

Week 3     Racing students learn to adjust to a slightly higher driving speed, and practice controlling the race with other racers close by. Instructors emphasize staying in correct racing line at higher speeds, points of braking and acceleration, and open passing.

Week 4    Racing school instructors take the students on a walk of the track to review correct racing line and discuss ways of reading the track surface. Racing students then pair up for longer, high speed sessions, and to practice correct driving changes. Instructors work individually with each student on difficult turning corners.

Week 5    Practice the lessons in real-time racing situation.

Week 6    Racing license issued to all racers with 100% attendance. Final points and trophy to race winner.
